Hostels with dorm beds are available in popular destinations such as Kinabalu Park and Poring Hotspring. Chalets are normally available in hilly areas such as Kinabalu Park and Manukan Island in Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. For those who prefer authentic experience with culture and history, a stay in the long houses (Skrang in Sarawak or Bavanggazo in Kudat is a must).
